Form your relay team of 2 to 4 runners and join us for the first annual trail relay in the Yadkin Valley.
The 5k loop consists of single-track trail and granite dust trail on the old E&A Railroad grade. Relay team members may run in any order. The trail is mostly shaded and offers great views of water falls and Big Elkin Creek and Elkin Reservoir. The single track is challenging and the railroad grade is fast. The Reeves Downtown School of Music will be providing music at the event and WaterShed Now will be selling food. Please help support the Reeves School of Music with a donation and buy a hamburger from WaterShed Now to support both of these local organizations!
The first team member to register will be designated the team "captain". That runner will give the team a name and registration password. The captain will then invite others to join the team using the team name/password. Teams may consist of 2, 3, or 4 runners. One team member runs each 5K loop. Team members may run in any order and any number of times, but each member must complete at least 1 loop.
Each team member receives a relay bib with the team number and a relay baton which is carried by the team member currently running. The relay is handed-off at the lap/finish line area. Team members may run in any order.
Easily accessible and ample parking, restrooms, and space for your team to rest and strategize.
Food and drink for purchase will be provided convenient to the relay area.
Registration Fees
- Through May 17: $50 per team member
- May 18 - June 6: $60 per team member
- June 7 - June 8: $70 per team member
